Quarantine Island – Volunteering Adventure!

Room for 20 people to experience an incredible volunteering trip! Sunday 28th March, 10am – 3:30pm. $15 or per person (includes return ferry trip and car transport).

Activities (depending on weather and peoples’ interests on the day!): Watering, weeding, releasing (making room for young plants from the grasses growing around them) and short beach clean up if people are keen.

On the day: A short welcome and introduction to the island after arrival. Sometimes a drink and a bite to eat before heading into the reserve for around 2 hours. Regroup for lunch, afterwards maybe another hour or so of volunteering, followed by some free time to relax, explore and adventure before departure.

What to bring: sturdy shoes, light rain jacket, hat, sunscreen, packed lunch and water bottle. It is a good idea to wear long pants, or bring a spare to change into, in case we go weeding in hard to reach places. And togs and towels in case of swimming!

First in, first served ( except people willing to drive a car-load will get first priority) so get in quick!! Day will go ahead in pretty much all weather conditions so pretty please only buy a ticket if this doesn’t bother you hehe
