2026 Med Tramp

Get keen for an epic weekend away in the bush! Whether it’s your first tramp or you’re a seasoned pro, this is a super beginner-friendly trip with stunning views and good vibes all round. We’ll be heading out to Mt Aspiring Hut in the beautiful Matukituki Valley for an overnight adventure.

The walk is easy-going (around 2–2.5 hours, 9km, minimal elevation), with a well-maintained track, perfect for anyone wanting to give tramping a go! When: Saturday 18th April – Sunday 19th April Departure: Meet at Hunter Centre at 6:00am sharp on Saturday Walk start time: Around 12:00pm from Raspberry Flats Car Park Location: Mt Aspiring Hut, Matukituki Valley

Driver: $60 Non-Driver: $80 Accommodation: Hut (32 spots available) OR Tenting if high demand (limited spots, TBC) Transport: We’ll carpool down, drivers are especially appreciated! Note there are a few river fords, so vehicles with good clearance are ideal. Spots are limited and expected to fill quickly, so get in fast!
