2019 ELM Clinical Conference – Otago
$ 89.00
ECCO is the premier conference for ELM students in Dunedin and is the core professional development opportunity outside of the normal medical curriculum for the majority of students.
The conference will be hosted on the 25th and 26th of May in Hutton Theatre, Otago Museum. This year’s theme is “Representing Aotearoa – Diverse Communities, Diverse Healthcare”, where we hope to expose you to a diverse mix of speakers from different backgrounds to champion change in your worldview and build up soft skills related to cultural competence.
In addition to the keynote speakers and our community panel in the morning, the afternoon of both days will be dedicated to small-group, workshops in the Hunter’s Centre. There are 10 workshops, for which you choose 4. Whether you are interested in learning suturing from surgical consultants, getting a head start on ALM by practising venipuncture on each other, or wanting to expand your communication repertoire by learning sign language – there is a workshop for you!
To top everything off, there will be a fully catered gala dinner at the Savoy on the night of the 25th as a chance to mix and mingle with all your colleagues!
$79 for OUMSA members
$89 for non-OUMSA.
